On October 25, 2020, the Pearl River Fisheries Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and Guangdong Liangshi Aquatic Seed Industry Co., Ltd. invited experts to conduct field test on the breeding effect of "three excellent" breeding mode of largemouth bass in the breeding base of Henan Xinyang Shengtai aquaculture Co., Ltd. The expert group listened to the work report of researcher Chen kunci, who is in charge of the project group, checked the production status of the experimental pond, sampled and measured the growth characteristics of the experimental fish on site, inquired about the specific breeding process and technical details, and gave evaluation opinions on the effect of the breeding mode.
The "three excellent" breeding mode of largemouth bass is established by the Pearl River Institute, which integrates the breeding of excellent bass No.3, scientific supporting breeding technology and excellent breeding environment. In recent years, there are many problems in the breeding industry of largemouth bass, such as the shortage of improved varieties, frequent diseases, fish drug abuse, serious environmental pollution and so on. The Pearl River Institute has developed a new species of largemouth bass "Youqiao No.3" suitable for artificial formula feed breeding. The technology of regulating pond water quality and intestinal microecological agents has been studied, and the "Youqiao package" technology suitable for largemouth bass breeding has been developed, And established a standardized management process. With the application of the whole set of technology, a good pond culture ecology has been constructed, which has achieved good results such as high production, no water change in the whole process of culture, greatly reduced the risk of disease occurrence, and win-win economic, social and ecological benefits. Since March 2019, PRFRI has carried out large-scale demonstration and promotion in Shengtai aquaculture Co., Ltd. of Guangshan County, Xinyang City, Henan Province, and achieved remarkable results. Farmers generally reflect that the breeding mode is simple to operate, water saving and no serious diseases. After six months of breeding, it can reach the market specification, and the yield per mu can reach more than 2000 kg, completely changing the original situation of poor water quality, long breeding cycle, more diseases and low yield per mu.
The results of sampling test on the same day showed that the average body weight of the big mouth bass "Youqiao 3" (released on April 28, with an average weight of 1.7g) was 520g, and the average body weight of the common big mouth bass (released on April 20) was 455G. The growth uniformity was significantly improved, and the effect of increasing yield and income was significant. Experts fully affirmed the effect of the "three excellent" breeding mode for largemouth bass. They believed that the mode had stable pond water quality, fast growth of bass, no large-scale and explosive diseases, guaranteed the quality and safety of commercial fish, and had the characteristics of replicability and easy promotion, which was suitable for popularization and application in Henan Province and surrounding areas. The popularization and application of this breeding mode is of great significance to consolidate the poverty alleviation effect of Guangshan County and other national key poverty alleviation counties.
