From December 1 to 5, 2019, at the invitation of Indonesia's freshwater fisheries aquaculture research institute, the deputy directors of aquatic disease and Immunity Research Office, researcher Li ningqiu, researcher Shi Cunbin, associate researcher Fu Xiaozhe, assistant researcher Lin Qiang and assistant researcher Gong Hua of the Research Office of aquatic diseases and immunity went to Indonesia to conduct a five-day academic exchange and technical training.
During the visit, the delegation held academic exchanges with personnel from the Fisheries Research Center of the Indonesian marine fisheries administration, the Indonesian freshwater fisheries enhancement Institute and its fish disease research center. Researcher Li ningqiu introduced the basic situation of Zhujiang Fisheries Research Institute and the scientific research progress of fish diseases; associate researcher Fu Xiaozhe made an academic report on the replication and proliferation of infectious spleen and kidney necrosis virus (ISKNV) of Siniperca chuatsi depends on glutamine. Dr. desy sugiani, director of the fish disease research center of Indonesia Freshwater Fisheries Research Institute, introduced the establishment of Indonesian marine and fishery research institutions, personnel of the fish disease research center, scientific research progress and international cooperation, etc.; Dr. taukhid, director of the fish disease research center of Indonesia Freshwater Fisheries Research Institute, made a report on the main diseases of freshwater aquaculture in Indonesia. In addition, members of the delegation and Indian personnel exchanged and discussed the general situation of aquaculture in Indonesia, disease status, pathogen detection technology, vaccine research and industrialization, biosecurity and regional management of epidemic diseases. The delegation and Professor Angela of the fish disease research center reached an agreement on the signing of the memorandum of cooperation, mutual visits and technical training of personnel from both sides, exchange of pathogens and information, and joint declaration of projects. Both sides agreed to take infectious spleen and kidney necrosis virus as the entry point for cooperative research.
During his stay in Indonesia, the delegation also visited Indonesia Hengxing Feed Co., Ltd. on invitation and held meetings with Ms. Tina Maria, chairman of the board of directors of the company, and Zhang Nian, deputy general manager of the company. Indonesia has 17000 islands and the world's second longest coastline, which is extremely rich in aquaculture resources. Hengxing set up a company in Indonesia in 2017. At present, the annual feed sales volume reaches 30000 tons, and the development momentum is good. It has built a feed plant with an annual capacity of 140000 tons in Nanbang City, Indonesia, and plans to build a Sulawesi fishery industrial park covering an area of 30000 mu. The two sides carried out cooperation and reached a consensus on science and technology support of the industrial park, pathogen detection of shrimp, development of animal protection products and water diversion technology, biosecurity and disease prevention and control technology. Assistant researcher Gong Hua and assistant researcher Lin Qiang respectively trained the company's technical backbones, salesmen and distributors on "prevention and control strategy of shrimp breeding diseases based on ecological balance" and "prevention and control of main shrimp breeding diseases and biosecurity in China".
In addition, the team visited the laboratory, breeding facilities and breeding base of fish disease research center in Debo, inspected the breeding bases of Silurus Clarias, tilapia, Lateolabrax japonicus, Koi and Macrobrachium rosenbergii to understand the breeding, breeding, disease prevalence and control of related species in Indonesia.
