On the morning of june 12th, at the invitation of researcher wang qing, director of aquatic diseases and immunization research department, professor Sven M.Bergman, head of the reference laboratory of oie koi herpesvirus disease (KHVD) of the german animal health research institute (Federal Research Institute for Animal Health,FLI), the institute of etiology (Institute of Infectology), visited Pearl River FIsheries Research Institute(PRFRI). Professor Bergmann gave an academic report entitled "Progress in CEV and TiLV research"" for the relevant researchers of Pearl River FIsheries Research Institute(PRFRI). Researcher Wang Qing, director of the research department of aquatic diseases and immunity, presided over the academic exchange.
Professor Bergmann introduced the isolation, detection and control measures of cyprinus carpis (CEV) and the screening and detection methods of sensitive cell lines of newly-emerging aquatic animal epidemic disease-rofexvirus (TiLVD). More than 30 researchers attended the symposium and discussed the detection and control of cyprinus carpio (CEV) and TiLV.
"Research and development of rapid diagnosis and control techniques for major and emerging aquatic animal diseases ", which was jointly applied by Professor Bergmann and researcher Wang Qing, was included in the Sino-German Agricultural Science and Technology Cooperation Project of the Ministry of Agriculture three times. With the support of this program, Professor Bergmann has visited five times to carry out academic exchanges, and related scientific research personnel of our institute on major and new aquatic animal disease pathogen KHV、CEV、GCRV、TiLV and other diagnostic and control methods for in-depth exchanges and discussions, for the next step of scientific research cooperation laid a good foundation.
