The innovative team led by researcher Huang Zhibin of PRFRI Research Institute completed the "key technology and industrialized application of immune prevention and control of Aeromonas hydrophila sepsis in freshwater fish" and won the second prize of Guangdong science and Technology Progress Award in 2020.
Aiming at the sepsis of Aeromonas hydrophila endangering a variety of freshwater cultured fish in China, this achievement has comprehensively and systematically carried out the research on pathogen detection technology, epidemiological analysis, pathogenic mechanism, vaccine creation and immune prevention and control technology, as well as the demonstration and promotion of multiple varieties in productive areas in China, and made breakthrough and creative achievements in theoretical research and application. A variety of simple, sensitive and specific detection methods such as indirect dot ELISA, dual PCR and lamp were established, which can be applied in professional laboratories, grass-roots laboratories and disease sites; A large-scale epidemiological survey of bacterial sepsis was carried out, and the national typing distribution map of Pathogenic Aeromonas hydrophila was drawn; The pathogenic mechanism of Aeromonas hydrophila was clarified and a number of new virulence related factors were identified; The key technologies of vaccine research and development of the pathogen were broken through, and recombinant subunit vaccine, gene deletion live vaccine and molecular typing inactivated vaccine were constructed; "Aeromonas hydrophila septicemia inactivated vaccine (strain J-1)" was developed, which obtained the national class I new veterinary drug certificate and product approval number, "grass carp Aeromonas hydrophila septicemia and Pseudomonas aeruginosa erythroderma double propolis inactivated vaccine" Obtain clinical trial approval. Relevant achievements play a great role in ensuring the safety of aquatic products, promoting the sustainable development of freshwater fisheries and energy conservation and emission reduction.
