On December 5, 2020, Guangdong Fisheries Society organized experts to evaluate the scientific and technological achievements of the project of "germplasm creation and industrial key technology innovation and application of largemouth bass" led by Pearl River Fisheries Research Institute. The evaluation committee is composed of academician Lin Haoran, academician Bao Zhenmin, academician Liu Shaojun and a total of 8 experts in related fields from scientific research institutions such as China Academy of Fishery Sciences, South China Agricultural University and South China Sea Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Experts listened to the project report of researcher Bai Junjie, the project leader, and carefully reviewed the evaluation materials. After question answering, research and discussion, the evaluation experts agreed that the achievement has made a series of innovations in germplasm creation, nutritional feed, healthy breeding, live fish transportation, etc., which has strongly promoted the sustainable development of largemouth bass industry, and the overall technology has reached the international leading level.
In view of the outstanding problems of the lack of improved varieties, backward breeding methods and low efficiency of live fish transportation in the breeding industry of largemouth bass, this achievement carried out systematic and continuous research on the key technologies of largemouth bass, such as variety improvement, nutritional feed, breeding technology and live fish transportation, and achieved a number of innovative results. We have systematically completed the collection, identification and evaluation of largemouth bass germplasm resources, established molecular marker polymerization breeding technology for largemouth bass, and bred two new varieties of largemouth bass, Youqiao No.1 and Youqiao No.3; discovered the congenital particularity of sugar metabolism of largemouth bass, and developed a series of high-performance feed products with high efficiency, low emission and low fish meal; systematically investigated and analyzed the characteristics of largemouth bass Based on the epidemic situation of the main diseases of black bass, we have established the microbial control technology of pond water quality and biological security prevention and control technology of diseases, established the intensive pond ecological health culture mode and high-level pond circulating water culture mode of big mouth black bass, and created the high-density low-temperature temporary culture and pure oxygen cold chain remote transportation technology and equipment of big mouth black bass live fish, with the density of water fish ratio of 1:1, which is similar to that of traditional fish Compared with the traditional live fish transportation technology, the efficiency is increased by 5 times. He has published 3 monographs, 11 books and 153 papers, including 41 SCI papers, 46 state authorized patents, 14 invention patents, 7 national and industrial standards, and 3 software copyrights. The results have been widely applied and achieved great economic and social benefits.
