7月18日，封开县农业局组织专家，对中国水产科学研究院珠江水产研究所起草编制的《封开县水域滩涂规划》（2018~2030年）进行了论证，论证专家来自中山大学、广州大学、中国水产科学研究院南海水产研究所等单位。参加论证会的还有封开县水务局、林业局、国土局、水产技术推广中心、封开海事处、封开渔政支队等相关单位的代表。
项目负责人汪学杰副研究员代表项目组介绍了《规划》编制背景、编制过程、、功能区划、规划目标、规划依据及保障措施等情况，《规划》根据封开县自然条件、水域滩涂利用现状、水生生物资源现状、社会经济现状及渔业发展现状，提出了封开县水域滩涂开发的总体思路、主要措施和目标，划定了禁止养殖区、限制养殖区和养殖区。
论证专家组认为，《规划》目标明确、依据充分、数据翔实、规划科学、重点突出，符合国家政策导向、技术经济发展趋势和封开县渔业产业发展需求，与省、市相关规划衔接较好，可操作性强，建议尽快报批实施。
